In 1991, JCI's business expanded into the statewide Florida market. JCI has developed a base of more than 1000 customers since it's inception. Many of these customers require a communications company with diversified technical experience and rely on our engineering and installation expertise for their campus wide environments. For example, JCI played a significant role at the IBM facility in Boca Raton, Florida, in removing old coaxial cabling systems and re-cabling the site with IBM Type 2 cable that combines telephone and high speed data capabilities. Recently JCI helped IBM move to their new 6 story building in Boca Raton. This building was cabled with the newest technology on the market to date. Over 6000 CAT 6 cables were installed.
JCI is currently performing a three-year contract with Florida Atlantic University involving relocation, add-ons and changes of their cabling systems. JCI has also designed and installed large networks with fiber optic backbones and wireless connections for Rexall Sundown Vitamins, The School Board of Palm Beach County, and Boca West Country Club, just to name a few.
JCI holds a State of Florida Low Voltage License (#ES0000112) and aggregate experience in low voltage technology of more than 10 decades. With this license and many vendor certifications, JCI is distinguished as a fully qualified network engineering and installation provider. Our Florida state license is fully recognized by most state governments which allows us to design and install networks practically anywhere in the contiguous United States for today's needs and tomorrow's expectations.
As part of the training at JCI, our technicians have received certificates for product training courses by representatives of communication equipment manufactures such as Panduit, AMP, Krone, Molex, OnQ, Proxim Wireless, and Belden Cable.
